It was a match that we deserved to win but as happens in may cup ties, it went our way thanks to an episode that changed the course of the match in our favour. The moment VDS kicked long towards Rooney and Rooney managed to bring the ball under control, Dawson had no option but to handle the ball and was rightly dismissed. Ronaldo slotted in the penalty and despite a huge scare when Spurs hit the post through a Brown mishit, we deservedly won the match. There were a few worrying moments as a gap in our defence was evident. Evra found Lennon difficult to handle and the Spurs goal is partly his fault (although most full backs find Lennon difficult to keep under control). Fingers crossed that Vidic is back next Wednesday. It was nice seeing Scholesy back although her is clearly not match fit yet. Tevez worked tirelessly and in my opinion was MOM. Ronaldo had a quiet first half but as the Spurs defence got tired and had a player less, he found more room and managed to add another two goals to his tally.
Let us now focus on getting three points against Portsmouth on Wednesday.

It was an interesting cup tie. Both teams had scoring chances, utd took them and they won the game.
We badly missed vidic. Hargreaves had a good defensive game, he is my MOM. Tevez, Ronaldo and Rooney can break every defence.
Glad to see Paul Scholes back, shooting from outside the box, finding cristiano with some long range passing. SAF has a good selective for the central midfield position with Hargreaves, Anderson, Scholes, Carrick and Fletcher all fighting for these two places.
Manucho scored two goals in two games in the african cup, I have seen the first one, it was a good diving header. I think he'll bring something new to our team.
Next wednesday a game against our boogey team Porstmouth (at least we're playing home)
actually manucho scored three in two games......who knows maybe we got a bargain (for the first time!!!) i have seen the 3rd goal, it's RVN goal-style.....
